Through Holland and Holland, I was contacted by a fabulous American client, Mike. He had rescued a wonderful dog called Jake, a Chihuahua / Corgi and maybe Beagle cross…. Jake was adored by his owner and given the best life.
Jake passed away very recently at age 16. Mike has commissioned various pieces in honour of this amazing little dog…. I’ve worked solely from photographs and unveiled him to Mike and his group of his closest friends at his London club which he kindly included me in……. he then returned to the USA on Mike’s plane to sit on his office desk where the two can keep an eye on each other!
Mike wanted a really special base for Jake so I sourced a 3,300BC black bog oak base for him. We also made a bespoke engraved bronze scroll in remembrance of Jake.
