A magical object providing protection against ill will, or the supernatural, or conferring the wearer with a boon such as good luck, good health, or power(s).
Debbie McCall sculpts in clay to capture the essence of dogs. Whether a much loved family pet or trusted working dog, she uses scale and perspective from the images to create their portrait.
Finished in the lost wax, traditional method of bronze casting, these individual portraits are built to last for many generations. Her sentimental view is that dogs are too short-lived and these artworks are meant as a talisman of the dogs we appreciate as our most loyal companions.
